The abandoned building was acquired by the town of Jičín after the local Jewish community perished in the 1960s. It was given to the Prague Jewish community, which began to reconstruct it. The synagogue features a precious Baroque-style altar and the structural and historical inspection discovered the original stone and ceramic paving and wall paintings.

The synagogue is an authentic example of a Jewish house of prayer and a reminder of the history of the local Jewish community.
