Bělá is located near Lomnice nad Popelkou at the confluence of Oleška and Tampelačka.

It is surrounded by the Hrobka and the Jíva hills in the east, Jáma in the south and Dančovsko in the north. From the Jíva hill there is a nice view of Nová Paka, Stará Paka, the Giant Mountains (Krkonoše), Kumburk, Bradlec, Tábor, Ještěd, Bezděz andTrosky.

The first written mention of Bělá comes from the year 1533, but the place was already settled during 12th century. At present it has 260 inhabitants.

Cycling trails lead from the village to the Bohemian Paradise and the Giant Mountains (Krkonoše) and a tourist path goes over the hills to Nová Paka. There is also a slope with a ski-tow on the Hrobka hill. For those who like crosscountry skiing a new trail from Kruh over Svojek, Bělá, NováVes and Syřenov to Klepanda is prepared.
