It lies at the elevation of 349m, in the protected landscape area of Český ráj. The name of the village is derived from the ruin of Trosky Castle, located on a hill above the village. Walking around Troskovice, you may see an interesting iron cross, or Vilémův mlýn, but the main tourist attraction is undoubtedly the ruin of Trosky Castle towering above the village and the nearby rock town named Apolena. We should also mention Kost Castle, situated around 6km west of Troskovice. The surrounding beautiful landscape of Český ráj is inviting for hikes or cycle tours. The Nebák pond is used for recreation.
