The brewery was built on the outskirts of Turnov in the middle of the 19th century by the Unger family, the owners of the local estate.
The brewery makes beer using traditional recipes and traditional names Skalák and Podskalák. The brewery also operates a network of restaurants and pubs, mainly in the Czech Paradise region.
