The oldest record in the Land Register of Semily dates back to 1634. The two parts of the village are separated by a natural border formed by Na Vrších, Skalka and Benešov hills. Several timbered houses have been preserved in the village; one of them is recorded in the List of Cultural Monuments. There are also two statues of Christ Crucified and Calvary - a group of statues dating back to the middle of the 19th century. Příkrý ranks among villages that do not have a church, but there are two small bell towers.
