Císařská Chodba Gorge

Bohemian Paradise

The best known and most robust canyon in the Prachovské Skály.
The best known and largest canyon in the Prachovské Skály was named after Emperor Francis I, who was carried through the canyon during his visit in Jičín at the occasion of a meeting of the anti-Napoleon coalition in June 1813. The canyon is lined with vertical rock walls. The Rock Prayer, the rock arising above the canyon, belongs to the most distinctive rock towers in the Prachovské Skály. The rock gorge covered with forest near the crossroads above the Císařská Chodba (Emperor's Passage) is called Čertova Kuchyně (Devil's Kitchen).
