Castle and chateau Staré Hrady near Jičín 

Stare Hrady / Bohemian Paradise
The castle and chateau of Staré Hrady near Jičína is a unique Renaissance group of buildings with figural sgraffito. The first mention dates back to 1340. It was originally a Gothic castle, with the characteristic elements created in the shop of Petr Parléř, with an adjacent Renaissance chateau and bailey.

Kost Castle is one of the best-preserved Czech castles from the late Gothic period. It was founded in the mid 14th century by Beneš of Vartemberk.
 

Mladá Boleslav Castle

The beginning of the history of the castle dates back to the 2nd half of the 10th century. At that time, there was an ancient fort that occupied nearly the whole area of today`s Staré Město.
 

Valdštejn Castle

Valštejn Castle is situated at the western edge of the Hruboskalsko rock formation. It was founded in the mid 13th century by the noble family of Markvartice, whose later successor was Albrecht of Valdštejn, the famous military leader.

Ruin of Michalovice Castle

Michalovice Castle was founded in the second half of the 13th century. The first recorded owner was Jan from Michalovice. The noble family of Michalovice possessed the castle until 1468, when its last male successor died.
 

Remnants of Hynšta Fort

Remnants of Kavčina Castle

The remnants of the Kavčiny Tower is the rock watch tower from the 14th century that was designed to defend Valdštejn Castle from its most vulnerable side.
 

Remnants of Koštál Castle 

Kostalov / Bohemian Paradise
The hill above the Oleška River was the place where in 1374 Košťál Castle was built, the property of the Valdštejn family from Lomnice. The castle was deserted in the 16th century: perhaps near the remnants of the walls and moats you will come across the ghost of Countess Slavatova who, in the hunt for riches, killed her siblings.
 

Remnants of Kozlov Castle 

Lomnice nad Popelkou / Bohemian Paradise
The first mention of the construction dates back to the 14th century. In 1442, it was conquered by the neighbouring gentry when its Hussite garrison gave up; in 1462 and onwards, the castle is mentioned as deserted.
 

Ruin of Brada Castle 

Brada-Rybnicek / Bohemian Paradise
The ridge covered with forest above the Jinolické Rybníky Ponds is dominated by Přivýšina, 463 m, not far from there, to the east, there was an early- Gothic castle named Brada.
