The district museum and gallery are housed in the Jičín chateau. They offer several visitors' circuits: a local history exhibition documenting the history of the region, entry to the noble pulpit of the Church of St. James the Elder with an exhibition of the cathedral in the centre of the landscape (concerning the realisation of the landscape-forming concept of Albrecht of Valdstejn), an exhibition of Valdstejn and the Jesuits, and the conference hall of the anti-Napoleon alliance. Since 2000, the district museum has concentrated on game as a method of mediating comments and organising interactive exhibits for children.

Ethnographic exhibition about farm interiors in the region of Podkrkonosi and nativities including mobile and also the oldest Czech nativity made of precious stones (from 1903). Mineralogical exhibition submits discoveries of the local region and a zoological exhibition displays the fauna of Cesky raj and Podkrkonosi. Here is a memorial to the Slechta family, an exhibition of the history of the town, an exhibition of painted furniture and Lomnice puppetry. The Gallery contains the works of artists from Lomnice and vicinity (Jira, Komarek, Klapste, Kabrt, Oplt, Patocka, Salaba, Jiroudek and others).

The exhibitions of "100 Years of Skoda" and "Gallery of Motors" contain exhibits from the oldest Laurin and Klement bicycles from 1895 to current Skoda vehicles. The exhibition "How the Automobile Came About" introduces one to the process of design, construction and production of automobiles. The museum was opened in 1995 on the occasion of one hundred years since the founding of the company in the unique old factory buildings. In addition to the museum, it is possible to visit the production operations of the company Skoda Auto.

In the Templ building is a permanent exhibition of the history and archaeology of Mladoboleslavsko. In addition to guide texts to the exhibited items, multi-media technology is also used here. Exhibits with artists from the entire Republic change every few months. The space of the park is reserved for children. Here one can try hunting animals, participate in archaeological digs or build a town.

In this museum we find a unique collection of precious stones from Czech and international sites, exhibitions about the past and present of gem processing in Turnov, including goldsmith work. The museum has collected documents about the mineral and cultural wealth of the region since 1886. There is a jewel case of Czech garnet, an exhibition of significant personalities of the region and folk culture of central Pojizeri. Arranged in the gallery are exhibitions of creative arts, regional history, ethnography, mineralogy and stone masonry. The most famous exhibit is certainly the panoramic painting "Pobiti Sasiku pod Hrubou Skalou" (The Massacre of the Saxons beneath Hruba Skala) - one of the largest oil paintings in Europe. The painting is 10 x 8.5 metres in dimensions and was painted by M. Ales, V. Jansa, V. Masek and V. Bartonek. The museum is the organiser for many traditional folk celebrations and events enlivening the craft tradition of the region.

The Congregation of the Czech Brethren is a significant memorial to the period of the Brethren and ranks among Renaissance sacred buildings.
