You can take the tourist bus to Kopanina. The brick viewing tower here, which dates from 1894, is currently undergoing reconstruction, but you can still enjoy some beautiful views during the trip. From Kopanina walk down to the ruins of Frýdštejn castle, which is where scenes from the fairy tale Princess Jasnenka (Jasněnka) and the Flying Shoemaker were shot, amongst others.
Continue following the Bohemian Paradise Golden Trail to the edge of Voděrady and walk up to the Drábovna rock town. The rocks here are not very high, less than 15 m. In the middle of the plateau there stands the remains of a little rock castle, which used to be timbered, but practically nothing has been preserved apart from the niches for the beams. The trail then leads to the viewpoint on the rocky edge overlooking the Jizera valley. You can see various rock windows and tunnels along the way.
Cross the main road after Borek. The route leads above a slope of beech trees that falls sharply down to the Jizera and then joins a track through the fields with views towards the south. The village of Bukovina also includes Dolánky, where the timbered two-storey Dlaskův statek farm stands, a national cultural monument, which houses an ethnographic exhibition of the Museum of the Bohemian Paradise. The Bohemian Paradise House of Nature is situated in the former school next door. This presents information about the Protected Landscape Area of the Bohemian Paradise and the Bohemian Paradise UNESCO Global Geopark.
The Golden Trail leads on below a high rock wall, on which stands the chateau of Hrubý Rohozec, which you can get to up the steep steps. The trail continues on to the town along the right bank of the Jizera.
