Koberovy

Koberovy - center of the village

Koberovy

The village of Koberovy lies in a valley between the Hamštejn and Fialník hills. It consists of the hamlets of Besedice, Hamštejn, Chloudov, Michovka, Prosíčka, Vrát, and Zbirohy.

The Golden Trail of Bohemian Paradise runs from Hamštejn through Koberovy and Besedice, connecting the most beautiful sites of Bohemian Paradise since the 1930s. A new observation tower of the same name was built on the Hamštejn Ridge in 2023.

Near Besedice, visitors can explore a romantic labyrinth of sandstone rocks (the Besedice Rocks, featuring the Kalich and Chléviště rock mazes), through which runs the marked Dr. Edvard Beneš hiking trail with an educational path.

Following the marked bike trail, you’ll ride past the Besedice Chapel through Michovka to Zbirohy, where you can stop at the castle ruins of the same name from the time of King Wenceslas IV. The bike trail ends in the Jizera Valley, where it connects to the Jizera Greenway.

Jizera Greenway

Cycle Route No. 17, known as the Jizera Greenway, runs along the Jizera River. Starting at the Polish border in the Jizera Mountains, it passes through the foothills of the western Krkonoše Mountains, the Bohemian Paradise, and the Elbe River Valley all the way to Prague.

In the Maloskalsko region, you can ride the most famous section of the trail, which here often takes the form of a separate bike path and offers a combination of cycling (including popular scooters), water sports, and, of course, hiking. The newest section of the bike path between Líšný and Železný Brod was built between 2023 and 2025.
